MediMobile selects Wolters Kluwer's Health Language Solutions to enhance charge capture and revenue cycle management for providers

The Health division of Wolters Kluwer has announced that MediMobile has selected its Health Language® Provider Friendly Terminology solution to improve billing accuracy in its enterprise-level mobile charge capture solution. MediMobile's user base will leverage the terminology solution to reduce physician search time and improve revenue cycle to optimize reimbursement.

Cambridge University Press appoints Brigitte Shull as Senior VP for Academic Publishing in the Americas

Academic and educational publisher Cambridge University Press has announced the appointment of Brigitte Shull as Senior Vice President for Academic Publishing in the Americas. Brigitte Shull, who was most recently the Vice President of Management, Business, Economics, and Political Science Publishing at Springer Nature, will take up the role in January and report to Managing Director, Academic, Mandy Hill.

ProQuest releases results of its 2016 Information Literacy Survey

Though 83% of librarians agree that information literacy affects college graduation rates and 97% believe that this skill set contributes to success in the workforce, 44% think that their library does not support information literacy instruction as much as it should. Oxford University Press partners with The Gerontological Society of America to publish Innovation in Aging

Academic publisher Oxford University Press (OUP) has announced a partnership with The Gerontological Society of America (GSA) to publish Innovation in Aging, a new peer-reviewed, open access interdisciplinary journal, beginning in January 2017. Dr. Laura P. Sands, a faculty member of the Center for Gerontology and professor of human development at Virginia Technological Institute and State University, will serve as Editor-in-Chief.

APA appoints Dr. Rose Sokol-Chang as publisher of journals

The American Psychological Association has appointed Dr. Rose Sokol-Chang as publisher of journals in its Office of Publications and Databases, charged with managing all the editorial, peer review and production functions of APA's journals' program. Sokol-Chang joined APA in 2012 as managing director of journals and stepped into the role of acting publisher in 2016.
