Elsevier and the NCTE collaborate to strengthen educational system and promote long-term growth in science and innovation in Ghana

STM publisher Elsevier has announced collaboration with the National Council for Tertiary Education (NCTE). This collaboration will provide nearly 45 thousand students and faculty at Ghana's 38 Colleges of Education with access to 2,000 books through ScienceDirect College Edition, Elsevier's full-text platform for research literature, tailored towards institutes of higher education.

Taylor & Francis announce new trial with Peerage of Science for simple, streamlined peer review

Academic publisher Taylor and Francis has announced a new trial with Peerage of Science, offering a simpler, transparent peer review process across its portfolio of Botany, Ecology and Zoology journals. Peerage of Science is now available across 30 journals within this portfolio. The journals included in the initiative will enjoy more efficient publishing process, enabling peer review of articles prior to authors submitting to a specific journal.

The Royal Society of Chemistry has announced the launch of a new journal in energy science. CHOR and the Japan Science and Technology Agency sign six-month Pilot project to explore and support public access compliance needs

CHOR, Inc. has signed a Letter of Agreement with the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), for a six-month Pilot project to explore and support its public access compliance needs. This is the organisation's first agreement with a funder outside of the US. CHOR and JST will work together to explore ways to improve the monitoring of public accessibility of content reporting on JST-funded research.
