Alexander Street Press joins ProQuest family of companies

Electronic publisher Alexander Street Press has joined the ProQuest family of companies. The companies' complementary content assets will enable libraries, faculty and students to improve research and learning outcomes. The acquisition brings together Alexander Street's valuable video, music and unique primary source collections with ProQuest's extensive aggregation of content, which encompasses nearly a billion searchable items in 20 academic disciplines as well as 270 million pages of historical primary source collections.

Finnish physicians now have easier access to evidence-based content through Terveysportti heath portal and DynaMed Plus

Physicians in Finland can now search for evidence-based clinical information from DynaMed Plus® through the Duodecim Terveysportti health portal. The partnership between Duodecim and EBSCO Health will allow Finnish doctors to quickly access the right information when and where he or she needs it.

NISO members elect new leadership for 2016-2017 term

Members of the National Information Standards Organization (NISO) have selected their board's leadership for the 2016-2017 term, which will begin on July 1, 2016. B. Tommie Usdin, President of Mulberry Technologies, Inc., becomes Chair; and Chris Shillum, Vice President Product Management, Platform and Data Integration at Reed Elsevier, has been voted Vice Chair.

EDP Sciences reports strong performance in 2016 Impact Factor results

STM publisher EDP Sciences has reported a strong performance in the recently announced 2015 Journal Citation Reports® (JCR) Thomson Reuters, 2016. EDP has 20 journals indexed of which over half showed an increase in their impact factor, and 45 percent reported an increase of over 10 percent.

Ex Libris and Copyright Licensing Agency collaborate to facilitate distribution of digitised content to students

Ex Libris®, a ProQuest company, and the UK's Copyright Licensing Agency (CLA) have announced their collaboration on the Digital Content Store Content URL API. The collaboration will facilitate the integration of the Digital Content Store (DCS) with the Ex Libris Alma® resource management solution and Leganto reading list solution. Ex Libris is one of several partners aiding in the development of the DCS Content URL API.
