OpenAIRE2020 assures open access to H2020 results for all |
Starting in January 2015, OpenAIRE2020 will monitor H2020 research outputs and help to spread H2020's scientific publications. OpenAIRE2020 brings together professionals from research libraries, open scholarship organisations, national e-infrastructure and data experts, along with IT and legal researchers. Together they will be charged with the important mission of collecting H2020 project output, supporting research data management and creating workflows and services on top of the current OpenAIRE platform. ARL releases Shared Print Programs, SPEC Kit 345 |
The Association of Research Libraries (ARL) has released Shared Print Programs, SPEC Kit 345, which explores the extent of ARL member libraries' participation in concerted efforts among groups of libraries to collaboratively collect or retain print collections and provide access to them. The SPEC Kit covers the type and scope of programs in which ARL libraries choose to participate, the rationale for participation, the value and benefits the programs provide to ARL and other libraries, and the roles different libraries are playing in the programs. UNESCO unveils Open Access Curricula for Researchers and Librarians |
Within the overall framework of UNESCO Strategy on Open Access to scientific information and research and to take forward UNESCO's leadership role in diffusing knowledge amongst its Member States, UNESCO has developed a set of manuals to facilitate capacity building of library and information professionals and researchers. The development of the modules has been undertaken very carefully and the development process covered diverse opinion in the subject area, and in consultation with more than 50 experts to include diversity and expertise from the developing south.
