Elsevier and the Institution of Structural Engineers collaborate to publish new research journal – Structures |
STM publisher Elsevier and the Institution of Structural Engineers, a professional body for qualifications and standards in structural engineering, have announced their collaboration to publish Structures, a new online peer-reviewed journal covering the full breadth of structural engineering research. The journal will be led by Editor-in-Chief; Professor Leroy Gardner (Imperial College London) and supported by a world-class editorial board. Day-to-day publishing support will be provided by both the Institution and Elsevier. More

Springer begins 2014 with two major accomplishments |
Springer started 2014 by announcing two major accomplishments. The publisher completed its Springer Book Archives (SBA), a four-year project to digitise nearly every book it had published from the 1840s to 2004. While the company originally anticipated that around 100,000 books would be part of this effort, more than 110,000 titles were included. Also, due in large part to the addition of those books in the SBA, SpringerLink – Springer's online content platform – surpassed eight million documents for the first time. More
