Australian Research Council to use Thomson Reuters Web of Science for analysis of benefits from university research

The Intellectual Property & Science business of Thomson Reuters has announced that the Australian Research Council (ARC) recently obtained Thomson Reuters Web of ScienceTM Core Collection as one of the data sources to contribute to analyses that will be utilised by the ARC to support development of national impact and engagement assessment to assess the benefits derived from university research. This national assessment exercise is being introduced as part of the Australian government's National Innovation and Science Agenda.

Wolters Kluwer to publish JBI Database of Systematic Reviews and Implementation Reports

The IET, CEPRI and Tsinghua University launch new open access journal, High Voltage

The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and CEPRI (the China Electric Power Research Institute) have launched the first issue of a new fully open access journal, High Voltage. As a fully open access journal, High Voltage forms part of the IET's continuing mission to develop open access quality engineering content and accelerate both research and innovation. In order to promote this goal, the IET and CEPRI have waived all APC (Article Processing Charges) for High Voltage in 2016.

Blazegraph 2.1.0 graph database now enables geospatial searching and PubChem data processing

Blazegraph has announced version 2.1.0, with significant updates that give users faster, easier access to key data sets, such as new support for processing geospatial coordinates and optimizing queries against the National Center for Biotechnology Information's (NCBI) PubChem database.
