ProQuest unveils first regionalized version of Academic Complete

ProQuest ebooks company ebrary has created a brand new version of Academic CompleteTM subscription collection designed specifically for UK and Irish students, faculty and researchers with over 4,000 unique, region specific titles. Recognising the importance of providing key content to this region, this new edition of Academic Complete delivers more than 115,000 titles, and is the first locally-tailored content edition which goes beyond territorial rights adjustments.

Oxford University Press and the American Society of Mammalogists announce publishing partnership

Academic publisher Oxford University Press (OUP) has announced a new partnership with the American Society of Mammalogists (ASM). Under the deal, OUP will publish the Journal of Mammalogy and Mammalian Species, beginning January 2015.

YBP Library Services selected as supplier for Ontario Colleges Library Service

YBP Library Services (YBP), the academic division of Baker & Taylor, has announced that the Ontario Colleges Library Service (OCLS), on behalf of the Ontario college libraries, has selected YBP as a supplier of bibliographic material including Canadian, US and UK imprints across a broad spectrum of subject areas and disciplines as well as in print, audiovisual and electronic formats. OCLS is a non-profit corporation providing a suite of services to Ontario's 24 publicly-funded colleges of Applied Arts and Technology.

Scribd to expand ebook subscription service, raises $22 million in financing

Subscription book service Scribd has closed a $22 million financing led by Khosla Ventures with reinvestment from existing backers including Redpoint Ventures, Charles River Ventures and Silicon Valley Bank. Seasoned entrepreneur Keith Rabois will join Scribd's board as a board observer. This brings Scribd's total funding to date up to $48M.
